The Vintage:

In spite of the drought, Rutherford’s 2014 vintage was nothing short of spectacular.  This warm and dry weather pattern persisted throughout the 2014 growing season allowing fruit to ripen earlier than previous years.  The result was small berry size and more concentrated flavors.  These favorable ripening conditions translated to exceptional flavor development and phenomenal wine quality.

The Vineyard:

This single vineyard offering showcases our estate vineyard located on the Rutherford Bench with its lush, rich, full fruit flavors.

Tasting Notes:

A sexy Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, loads of crème de cassis, spice box and cedar wood in a full-bodied, opulent style. This is irresistible and ideal for drinking over the next 15 or so years.
